NLLB has a long history of helping those in need following natural disasters namely in Louisiana, as well as Indonesia.
In August of 2016, Louisiana suffered catastrophic flooding due to tropical storms. NLLB partnered with Family Life Church in Lafayette by supplying Lowe's gift cards, for the church's organized volunteer teams who were renovating and repairing flooded homes for the needy. We were able to supply much needed building supplies, while the volunteers did the labor.
As many of you know, Houston has been hit hard by Hurricane Harvey which has devastated many homes, leaving families homeless and in dire need. NLLB would like to once again reach out to serve these individuals/families. We are looking at various opportunities to serve, either through a similar building material program or school supplies for children or other areas of need. We are in contact with individuals and waiting for the damage and needs to be more clearly revealed. Currently emergency relief is still the number one need.
If you would like to make a tax free donation to help the people of Houston, please visit the NLLB donation page (nllb.me/donations).
Due to the flooding in Houston, we are using a temporary New Mexico address for checks so that funds can be received more quickly. We are unclear about flooding in Houston Post Offices.
