NLLB has remote libraries in areas of Indonesia for children without access, as well as here in America. What we discovered is that children who have lost a school library book are often not allowed to get another book until the lost book is returned or paid for. As in Indonesia, we have chosen people to host the "libraries" who are disabled. This serves to bring children to them and encourage social interaction. This lovely woman lives in an apartment complex where children are in need of books. She listens to them read, allows them to take books and helps them understand what they have read. NLLB recently purchased science books...as well as fictional books for Elementary & Middle School levels.
