Apolo's Daughter to be Educated by NLLB

Many of you will remember our very first NLLB recipient, Apolo. He suffered

3rd degree burns to his face and hands during an earthquake from the 2004 Tsunami

Quakes. He was found many months later and NLLB brought him to Jakarta where he

received reconstructive surgery. Since then, Apolo married and had 5 children, his

wife dying in childbirth with the 5th child. The baby was born prematurely and Apolo

took her to a convent that cared for infants, where she stayed for 2 years. She is now

healthy and back home. Apolo remarried and has another child. His daughter Linly

is 11 and very bright, but in the village there has limited education. Apolo asked if

we could find a way to educate Linly and we have recently moved her to Jakarta

to one of our amazing young Indonesian families who foster children for NLLB

(Bryan & Peber).

After having Linly tested, we discovered she was 5 years behind students in Jakarta

and she will need intensive tutoring. A small Christian school has been found that will

take her and help her excel. In her first month in Jakarta she has already completed

one year of education and is now 4 years behind. NLLB has 2 students that we are supporting currently. If you would like to be a part of educating children and young adults please let us know. We continue to change lives... one person at a time.
