Coronavirus Effect on Villages

NLLB has been involved in helping support those in need due to Covid in a variety of ways. Initially we began organizing masks, focusing big efforts in making masks for those with special needs. We also reached out across the world to see the effects of covid on villagers, who already live in fragile situations. One thing that we discovered is that due to the virus, the young people who had been working in cities, sending support back to their families in the villages, were now returning to the village. Not only has this brought the hardship of loss of income, but it has also presented the issue of more mouths to feed in.

We contacted "our village" in Myanmar where we set up the free preschool and asked if farming tools would help the most needy. This was a very welcomed idea and we were able to purchase 40 hand tools. Pastor Che Ko who runs the school, organized the purchase of and distribution of the tools. You will see from the photos that the tools do not come with

wooden handles. Wild bamboo will be used to make the handles.

Covid has caused many to suffer in a variety of ways. NLLB continues to seek ways in which we can help those in most need. You can join our efforts to help others by donating. No donation is too small.
