Working From His Car

NLLB has always been there for the individual in need and recently

we were able to help a young man that we have known for several years.

He is a university student who fought beyond a difficult childhood of

living in 56 foster homes from age 2-15. With covid closings and lock

downs he lost his job, but started working as a Uber delivery person. He lost his apartment, but was able to couch surf with friends and live

out of his car. He found himself behind in car insurance and phone

payment this past month and was notified by Uber that he could

no longer work for them without valid car insurance. NLLB

stepped in and paid his car insurance and phone for a month.

These were not high expenses and yet disabled him from working.

We were able to get him back to work within 36 hours. This is

such a bright young man with such potential... without a family

support system. Imagine the surprise when he learned that

the small group of NLLB reached out a hand and lifted him up!

He is not used to help and certainly never asks. Since then a

faithful NLLB supporter has sent money to buy gas gift cards.

A young man without a family.....finding a family in NLLB. Thank you to the faithful supporters of NLLB. We run on a very

small budget and yet have always been able to help those in

need! Thank you for your on going support!
