NLLB has just completed the process of providing a micro loan to a couple in Uzbekistan. The couple are both university graduates and are responsible and hard working. We are making it possible for them to purchase a second hand vehicle to start a taxi service. In their area, the average income is $50 to $150/month. The taxi opportunity will improve their lifestyle and offer an opportunity to save for their future. Changing lives… one person (or family) at a time. 

 

NLLB has been working on this loan slowly for 18 months, ensuring that it would be helpful and not a burden to the couple and their family. We have found an American who lives there and has agreed to help guide and assist them in the process. He will be receiving the repayment sums and will forward them to NLLB. We have worked hard to make this a loan that will support their family income and not be a burden, therefore we have decided to make this an interest free loan and we will not begin repayments for 60 days once they have purchased the vehicle.

 

We included the wife, although the husband will be the driver, as we know that this will take a commitment of both of them and that it will impact their family. They are very excited and are in the process of looking for a vehicle now. 

 

It is our goal to enhance lives and not to bring any burden to them, while allowing for them to be responsible.
