Walkers!

NLLB has managed to acquire 2 new walkers - one specifically for one of our patients, Tony! Tony suffered an electrical burn 5 years ago and has a crippled hand on one side and a below the elbow amputation on the other side. We needed arm extensions for a walker for him to use after hip replacement surgery. NLLB found a free walker with arm extenders on a local Craig's List. We quickly sent the arm extenders for Tony so that he could practice using them (with the walker we had left with him last fall) before his surgery. Recovery from hip replacement surgery requires the use of a walker - in Tony's case this presented a problem. Arm extenders are not available in Indonesia.

We are so blessed to have been able to get 2 walkers for Indonesia!
