Laptops needed for a small high school in Flores, Indonesia. The school has a single second-hand laptop, recently donated to NLLB by a business in Jakarta. This is the first computer many of the students have seen and used. This year the Gov't has required students to sit national exams online. Teachers at the school have a 2 personal laptops. This will allow 3 students at a time to sit exams. The students currently take turns to use the donated computer. They are so excited to learn. This school also does not have a library. The school has 161 boarding students each of whom pay less than $55/year, which includes tuition and boarding. The aim of this school is to educate leaders from poor families in the surrounding remote villages. If you know anyone traveling to Jakarta who could take a laptop, please contact NLLB. We currently have 1 laptop ready to go to Jakarta. $300 will buy a new laptop for the school. NLLB would like to provide 10 computers, second-hand or new.
