Many of you will remember the great tsunami of 2004 that devastated Indonesia. Some of you will remember a young man severely burned by a kerosene lantern that fell on him during an afterquake. NLLB helped arrange and fund surgery to his hands and face. Apolo is a teacher in their small school. The school is basic without a library and often text books. The children in this village desperately need a library and NLLB hopes to supply a small one this next year. We estimate a cost of $1000 as the books will need to be purchased on another island and shipped and then transported by truck 6 hours and hand-carried in about 2 hours. Please consider joining in this wonderful project to help the children in Nias.
