Backpacks & Tennis Shoes

In a recent news article, 2 teenagers opened a "Convenient Stand" as a summer business and to raise funds for backpacks and shoes for children in their community. Each year NLLB looks for opportunities to supply backpacks/school supplies/shoes for students in need. We have made contact with the police department in the area of these teens. The officer assigned to their area visited them the next day and got an address for us to send things to.

He said they were "pretty excited" to know someone wanted to help them. It is refreshing to see young people reaching out to help others in their community and NLLB would like to help them with school supplies/backpacks/shoes.
