After many months of working on fundraising, working with a S.D. rancher, finding flood victims who lost cattle and working out logistics, 14 high quality bred heifers were delivered to ranchers in Nebraska last week.

Thank you to an amazing S.D. rancher, Clay Ekstum, who persisted in helping make this happen. His contact with the Iowa Cattlemen's Association produced funds for over 7 heifers, individuals donated and Clay drove the heifers over 250 miles to deliver them to the recipients in Nebraska. Next spring, ranchers will be welcoming the calves of these precious heifers! NLLB is thankful to have been a part of this project.
