Coats and Cattle!

NLLB is constantly working behind the scenes to improve the lives of those less fortunate.

Currently we are working on the purchase and logistics of transporting bred heifers from South Dakota to 5 worthy Nebraska ranchers who suffered greatly during the March 2019 devastating floods. It has been a complicated and long process and our contact in S.D. has been instrumental in raising funds for cattle and will be transporting them. Our recipients are so thrilled as you can imagine. NLLB is able to purchase 2.25 bred heifers (making up the 25% needed to another organizations donation to purchase another heifer. We are a part of

the 12 bred heifers purchased. NLLB is also paying for the veterinarian exams/clearance to take the cattle into another state.

Along with cattle, NLLB has already begun it's WARM HUGS THROUGH WINTER COATS annual program, supplying coats to those in need. We target children and elderly, but supply coats to all in need. We also supply winter boots. This year we have heard of a need for teens in Foster Care who live in shelters. There are hundreds of foster care teens across this country who live in shelters. We are currently purchasing winter coats for teens in need, as well as backpacks. As always, NLLB purchases high quality winter coats. You can join in these efforts by going to nllb.me/donations!
