NLLB is busy behind the scenes on a daily basis. Some of our projects do not

require any funds, but require time. We serve in a multitude of ways. It was

brought to our attention that an elderly couple had been cited for a fire hazard

and were under significant pressure to clear their 1.4 acres of dead brush/trees.

This was far beyond their means. Linley got involved and worked with the

village officials and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief Team (who has a

chainsaw team) to help this couple. No funds were needed, just time and

energy. Clearing of branches is about 1/2 completed. The branches will be

chipped and removed so that the Chainsaw Team can come in. The wood

will be cut into burnable size and donated to those who heat with wood.

We hope to have the wood completely removed by Nov. 1. This is being

done by young families....Bible study groups..... and the Relief Team.

What a wonderful project this has turned out to be... bringing a community

together! Linley also found 2 local artists who will make a sculpture out of

a unique tree stump for the owners!
