From the terrified little 9 year old who was told to go with NLLB staff from her remote
village - to eventually ending up in America to have burn reconstructive surgery -
to a a nursing graduate in Jakarta - to again board a plane to America. This time Natalia will be attending University of New Mexico's Short Term Intensive English Program. With hard work she is expecting to be accepted into their bachelor's program later next year. Natalia has worked extremely hard to get this opportunity and will continue to do so. Once again she will find herself in a foreign country with a heavy burden to succeed, but Natalia is up for it. She is a determined, driven young woman.
NLLB is low on funds and needs your help to see Natalia through, as well as continue our other work.
This is your opportunity to help.
You can help in a variety of ways.
We continue to have coin jars (collecting coins is a simple way to bring in monthly income, no amount too small).
You can also hold events (after the holidays) like garage sales or sales of items you no longer use. If anyone has information or contacts with organizations that have scholarship or grant
opportunities for young women or students please share those with us.
